We’re experts in our field, and whilst we can appreciate the beauty of raw stainless steel, we know that sometimes a project calls for something a little bit different. So, for the times where you want the durability of stainless steel, but to inject a little colour, consider custom finishing for your stainless steel component.

We can offer two different types of coating – Polyester Powder Coating or PVD depending on the overall look you hope to achieve. Both of these finishes are detailed below. Polyester and Epoxy Powder Coating Finishing.

Our specialist in-house powder coating team are experts in the application of polyester and wet spray powder coating. Our powder coating booth is brand new and offers multiple ways for us to produce quality, stylish, timely powder coated ironmongery, right here in Birmingham, UK. Choose from a range of RAL colours and textures. Decorative PVD finishes

Whilst in many cases we’d recommend using powder coating due to the range and versatility of colour and texture, there are some instances where PVD finishes are more suitable to the job. PVD uses vapour to treat the surface of the metal.

PVD uses plasma energy transfer, which means we can alter surfaces and add permanent layers to the ironmongery. These layers are incredibly hard-wearing and will last a lifetime. PVD can be applied to a wide range of hardware, from textured through to mirror finish.

Using PVD means we are able to offer a huge variety of colour finishing that always gives a great final aesthetic. These coatings won’t chip, corrode or fade and are tough – they are hard to scratch, and don’t wear away quickly.

Environmental impact.

We are committed to being as environmentally friendly as a business as possible. We have invested in a modern PPC plant, meaning any waste products can be re-used where appropriate and the most energy efficient ovens possible.

The PVD process is also more environmentally friendly than alternatives such as electroplating and painting. During PVD there are no gases, water waste and other residue released. The colouring process does not limit the recycling value of the stainless steel.

Less waste.

PPC allows excess paint to be re-used and has no volatile compounds, which is much more eco-friendly. PVD is also a clean process.

Recyclable.

The colouring process does not limit the recycling value of stainless steel – it maintains its quality and can always be reused.
