As part of the expanding Instinct Hardware offering, the team have employed a new Waterjet Programmer & Operator, Adam Simpson.

Adam joins the business with over 15 years’ experience of fabrications and manufacturing businesses, most recently at a precision waterjet firm. With a wide-spanning range of CNC, laser cutting and engineering knowledge under his belt, Adam’s mechanical and practical ability is second to none.  This means Adam has already been able to hit the ground running and is already processing jobs through the new machine.

Adam comments “The freedom afforded from waterjet cutting is endless, as it can pretty much cut through any material. I am looking forward to exploring the many opportunities that this new machine brings to the business. I’m able to use my past experience to fully understand the workings of the machine and (along with the in-house design team) am looking forward to making some fantastic, long-lasting ironmongery that’s a bit different!”

Nil Chohan, Instinct’s Operations and Technical Director adds “Having an in-house waterjet programmer and operator affords Instinct yet more options when it comes to bespoke hardware. We’re just delving into the possibilities but this new waterjet, coupled with Adam’s knowledge, allows more flexibility than ever before. We’re able to slice 2m pull handles or push plates and then move on to intricate engraving. It’s an exciting time for us and we’re pleased to welcome Adam as part of our growth plan.”

To speak to Adam or any of the Instinct Team, please call 0121 459 2358, or you can contact us here. If you’d like more information on the waterjet and how this might be beneficial to your business, please get in touch with us, we’ll be more than happy to help!
